The Chubb Classic has a recognized tradition of charitable donation. In the 25 years the Champions Tour has been in Naples, over $3 million has been donated to various initiatives.
In 2013, our host organization is The First Tee of Naples/Collier. Other charities supported include The First Tee of Philadelphia, The First Tee of Naples/Collier, Education Foundation of Collier County, Alzheimer’s Support Network, Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Allie Dowd Foundation.
The First Tee of Naples/Collier
The First Tee (http://www.thefirsttee.org/) is an initiative of the World Golf Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in St. Augustine, FL at World Golf Village, home of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Its mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf. Since its inception in 1997, The First Tee has introduced the game of golf and its values to over 1.5 million participants and students in 47 states and five countries – Australia, Canada, Ireland,New Zealand, and Singapore. Former President George Bush serves as honorary chairman.
The First Tee of Naples/Collier has established access relationships with Quality Inn Golf Resort (Golden Gate Country Club)and Moorings Country Club. Both venues have provided this access at nocost to The First Tee of Naples/Collier. This access includes use of the golf courses and meeting space to conduct character building through The First Tee Life Skills Experience. In addition to introducing the Life Skills curriculum, The First Tee of Naples/Collier has incorporated existing programs and relationships that provide a strong base for activities. A school program will serve as a feeder to the First Tee. This program provides yearly exposure to golf in participating elementary and middle school P.E. classes. The First Tee will also be involved in the Middle School Golf Team program, and will continue a summer tournament program.

The Education Foundation of Collier County
The Education Foundation of Collier County, founded in 1990, is an independent not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to enhance learning for Collier County children and their teachers by engaging community support. Having begun with just a single program, The Education Foundation’s initiatives have evolved to support recruitment, retention, and recognition of excellent teachers and principals, and programs designed for individual student success—all within a larger community-wide framework to support education.

The mission of The Education Foundation is to enhance learning for Collier County children and their teachers by engaging community support. Our vision is comprised of outcomes that take place within each of our areas of work that include Teaching Quality, Mentoring and Scholarships, Grants, and Community Involvement.
