Tournament strength builds with top Charles Schwab Cup performers
NAPLES, FL (JAN 25 , 2013) – Reigning Champions Tour Player of the Year Tom Lehman joins John Cook and David Frost as the latest commitments to The ACE Group Classic being held at TwinEagles Feb 12-17. Cook currently leads the Charles Schwab Cup points race after defeating Frost on the second playoff hole in Hawaii last Sunday to win the season’s opening event. Lehman would eventually finish eighth but led the field in greens hit in regulation, and he was the Tour’s top performer in that category for the last two years.
“No matter what event or what venue, the Champions Tours players compete every single round—it’s one of the main reasons these guys enjoy this Tour because it’s a chance to compete at a very high-level,” said Tournament Director Lesley Baker. “We have a lot to look forward to at this year’s ACE Group Classic and our fans will have plenty of great golf to watch when the Champions Tour returns to Naples.”
