Tournament officials are also encouraging Southwest Florida residents to volunteer as there are still open positions on a variety of committees. Golf knowledge is not required to volunteer and families and friends are encouraged to participate.
“Our volunteers play a crucial role in the success of The ACE Group Classic,” Baker said. “Without their passion and dedication we could not have become one of the longest-running events on Tour and one of the player’s favorites. Anyone interested in supporting the community and interacting with some of golf’s legends should try volunteering.”
Each volunteer receives an official tournament golf shirt, headwear, volunteer badge valid for week-long tournament access, four weekly grounds badges and complimentary lunch each day through the support of Fifth Third Bank who will provide these benefits to over 700 volunteers.
“We look forward to The ACE Group Classic every year,” said David Call, president and CEO of Fifth Third Bank (South Florida). “Not only do we get to showcase the beauty of Southwest Florida and some great golf but we also get to share the outstanding support of our community with the many guests, families and fans that attend.”
