“These guys are living legends and fans can see them up, close and personal at The ACE Group Classic,” said Tournament Director Jason Camp. “It is amazing to see that they have major championships spanning five decades. We still have a few weeks before the pros come to TPC Treviso Bay and we expect to add to these numbers before they tee off on February 20.”
Crenshaw is a two-time Masters Tournament champion and 17-time PGA TOUR winner. He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2002.
Lyle was the first British golfer to win the Masters in 1988 and he also won the 1985 British Open. He turned 50 last year and this will be the first ACE Group Classic for him.
Also making his tournament debut is 1987 Masters champion Mize. He won his only career major with a dramatic 140-foot chip-in in a playoff against Greg Norman and Seve Ballesteros. Mize debuted on the Champions Tour in late September 2008.
Nelson, who was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2006, is a two-time PGA Championship winner and 1983 U.S. Open champion.
Strange won the 1988 U.S. Open by overcoming Nick Faldo in an 18-hole playoff and became the first person since Ben Hogan (1950-51) to successfully defend a U.S. Open title in 1989. He was a 2007 inductee into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
Zoeller is best known for having one of golf’s most engaging personalities but he is also a two-time major winner. His titles came at the 1979 Masters and 1984 U.S. Open.
